Just days after Justin Bieber shared his Ramsay Hunt syndrome diagnosis, his wife Hailey says the pop star is “doing really well”.
She’s also provided a health update of her own, after suffering a mini-stroke earlier this year.

“[Justin] is doing really well. He’s getting better every single day,” his 25-year-old wife said on Wednesday’s Good Morning America.
“He’s feeling a lot better. And obviously, it was just a very scary and random situation to happen, but he’s going to be totally okay.”
The model, who is Alec Baldwin’s niece, said she was “just grateful that he’s fine”.
Bieber’s syndrome has left him unable to move half his face and as a result, the Yummy singer is unable to take the stage on his current Justice round.
“It is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis,” he said in a video posted on his Instagram account on Saturday.
“As you can see this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face; this nostril will not move. So there’s full paralysis on this side of my face”.
According to the Mayo Clinic, Ramsay Hunt syndrome “occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears”.
Bieber addressed fans frustrated by the recent concert cancellations and said he’s “physically, obviously, not capable of doing them”.
“This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case, but, obviously, my body’s telling me I’ve got to slow down,” he said.
“I hope you guys understand. I’ll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to 100 per cent so that I can do what I was born to do.”
‘A lot better’
Hailey Bieber also touched on her own surgery that she underwent in March to close a hole in her heart.
This came after suffering a mini-stroke from a blood clot.
“I feel a lot better after that situation, I feel good. You know I had a procedure done to close this hole in my heart,” she told the TV program.
“And I’m just giving my body the time to heal and recover.
“It was a little hard for me to recover from the procedure, just giving myself the time to be able to work out again and feel like normal, if that makes sense, but I am doing well now.
“I’m not having to be on any medication any more so I feel good.”
Bieber said she and her husband were forced to “just be upfront about what is going on, so people understand what you’re going through”.
The model and skincare founder when on to explain that the silver lining of the testing few months is that it brought the couple “a lot closer”.
“You’re going through it together, you’re there for each other, you’re supporting each other, and there’s just something that really bonds you through these times.”
Bieber said her terrifying stroke in April was “the scariest moment” of her life.
“It was like my mouth and tongue couldn’t form sentences,” she said in a YouTube video at the time.

“So many things were running through my head.
“Number one, that I’m having a stroke, I’m really scared, I don’t know what’s going on, I don’t know why this is happening, am I going to have permanent issues?”
“They did some scans and were able to see that I had a small blood clot to my brain which they labeled and categorized as something called a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack),” she said.
“Basically it’s like having a mini-stroke.”
