And Simon Baker looked every inch the heartthrob as he attended the Australian premiere of Blaze in which he stars, at Sydney Film Festival on Friday.

The 52-year-old showed off his cool sense of style in a pale green dress shirt, a tailored black suit and vibrant sneakers.

Simon also draped a blue scarf around his neck and wore his signature spectacles.

He appeared confident with his hands placed in his trouser pockets, and showed off a light stubble.

Luke’s 12-year-old daughter Blaze (played by Julia Savage) witnesses a brutal crime on the streets and spirals as she balances debilitating fear with a want for justice.

While Luke attempts to help his daughter, it’s a dragon that acts as Blaze’s saviour.

The film also stars Orange Is the New Black actress Yael Stone.

Meanwhile, Simon manages to turn heads at many a red carpet event.

The Australian actor previously told Vancouver Sun that his style has ‘evolved out of necessity’.

‘I travel a lot and have to do varied activities, from catching up with old friends at a bar to dinner with diplomats. It’s good to have a sense of yourself and feel comfortable in the way you present no matter the circumstance,’ he explained.

He added that with his style being ‘simple and restrained’, he often sports head-to-toe dark blue or grey, comfortable coordinates and T-shirts.

Simon scored a breakout role as attractive young writer Christian Thompson in 2006 comedy-drama The Devil Wears Prada.

He then became the star of American drama TV series The Mentalist, playing former psychic Patrick Jane.

Simon branched out into directing with his first feature film Breath, premiering in Sydney in April 2018.
