prince louis was the one member of the British royal family who almost overshadowed queen elizabeth during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Tea four-year-old’s myriad of facial expressions and cute antics captured hearts around the globe as the world celebrated Her Majesty’s 70-year reign.
However, royal commentator Katie Nicholl tells 9Honey we likely won’t see little Louis in public again for some time.

Despite his behavior drawing criticism for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s parenting skillsit’s not down to the online backlash they received – in fact, it’s thanks to their parenting strategies, Nicholl says.
“I don’t think people should expect to see more of the Cambridge children on the whole, I think it will be kept to important occasions,” she tells 9Honey.

“The reason the Cambridge children are well rounded, adjusted as they are is largely because they’ve been allowed to live a relatively ordinary life.
“That is hugely important to William and Kate, so don’t expect to see their schooling and their happy home life interrupted by too many official engagements.
“While they’re still so young, these will be few and far between but this [jubilee] was deemed an ‘important occasion’.”
Nicholl says the positive impact this parenting style has had on the older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, is now becoming evident – especially as the duo conducted their very first royal visit during the four-day celebrations earlier this month.
“They took to those engagements with absolute confidence and poise,” the author, who contributed to the official Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Albumsaid of their trip to Wales.
“I think it’s very important to William and Catherine that their children understand not just the work that mummy and daddy do but also the work that they will one day do.
“So we are seeing the preparation going into the next generation of royals as well. But I think all of these things are very, very significant and very meaningful, and I don’t think any of that is by accident.
“I think that’s all very, very carefully orchestrated and quite deliberately done.”
This suggests the next time we see the Cambridge kids won’t be until September, when Prince Louis starts primary school.
William and Kate have issued photos of George and Charlotte’s first days at Thomas’s Battersea in 2017 and 2019 respectively, so it’s expected they will again for Louis.
It’s been reported the three children will begin together at a new school in Berkshire as the Cambridges move from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage in Windsorto be closer to the Queen.
